FAQs

Answers to common questions therapists have about Willow Tree Wellbeing resources

These FAQs address common questions therapists have about the scope, use and access of Willow Tree Wellbeing audio resources.

Who are these audio resources for and how are they intended to be used?

These audio resources are designed to support therapist-guided work with clients, including grounding, regulation, panic support and preparation for sleep. They are intended for use within an existing therapeutic relationship, where the therapist uses their professional judgement to decide when and how the audios are integrated.

They are not self-help resources for unguided client use and are not a replacement for clinical assessment, formulation or therapeutic intervention. Access is intended exclusively for qualified therapists and practitioners.

Responsibility for safe and appropriate use sits with the therapist.

Are these audios therapy?

No. These audios are clinical support tools, not therapeutic interventions in themselves. They provide structured audio support such as calming or grounding guidance, but they do not replace therapy.

Use must be guided, paced and integrated appropriately within clinical work.

How are these audios intended to be used in practice?

The audios are designed to support use such as:

  • Within sessions to support grounding or regulation
  • Supporting pacing of physiological states
  • Therapist-guided support between sessions
  • Preparation for exposure work or settling autonomic states

Appropriateness and timing are determined by the therapist’s professional judgement.

Can I share the audios directly with clients?

Use varies by product type:

Therapist Audio Pack (one-off download)
MP3 files may be shared with your clients as part of therapeutic work, within your usual professional and ethical boundaries.

Membership streaming access
Audios are accessed via streaming only and are not downloadable. Access is therapist-controlled and login details should not be shared.

What happens if I cancel my membership?

If you cancel your membership:

  • Access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • Access to the audio library and streaming content ends once the subscription expires
  • Any therapist-controlled client access linked to the subscription will also end

Cancellation does not affect files previously purchased and downloaded through the Therapist Audio Pack.

Do I need to be accredited to use these resources?

No specific accreditation number is required. However, these resources are designed for use by qualified therapists and practitioners who are able to make appropriate clinical decisions about their use.

The tools assume a professional therapeutic context and should not be used outside that context.

What if a client loses the MP3 files I shared?

If you are using the Therapist Audio Pack, you may re-share the relevant MP3 files from your own secure storage.

If clients require repeated access, best practice is to provide files via your usual professional communication systems, in line with data protection policies.

Membership-based streaming content remains accessible only while a subscription is active.

Is VAT included in the price?

Where applicable, VAT will be shown clearly at checkout in line with UK VAT regulations. If you are VAT-registered, you may be able to reclaim VAT in accordance with HMRC rules.

Please consult your accountant for advice specific to your business.

Are the audios backed by evidence or clinical principles?

These audios are grounded in well-established regulation and grounding principles commonly used in therapy. They are not presented as clinical research products, but reflect practical, clinician-recognised approaches to supporting regulation when integrated appropriately into therapeutic work.

Are these resources suitable for trauma-informed clinical work?

Yes. These resources are designed with trauma-informed principles in mind and are intended for use within clinical practice by professionals trained in trauma-informed care.
